Panzerkampfwagen V Panther (Sd.Kfz.171)


Panzer V “Panther” was a German medium tank used at second World war, designed in 1942. Germans used this tank from 1943 to 1945, France from 1944 to 1947. Panther had 45 tons weight, 7 metres length (8,5 with cannon), 3 metres width, 3 metres height and had 5 persons crew. As main armament Panzer V had 7.5 cm KwK 42 L/70 cannon, and as second armament had two 7.92 mm MG 34 machine guns. Armoured in 80mm Armor at 55 degrees  Panther had 690 horsepower V-12 petrol Maybach HL230 P30 engine. Germans built 6000 copies of Panzer V. Tank was produced in three versions-A, D and G. The most popular was version G, which built in 3740 copies.
