Hello guys!
Have you
seen a Polish TV series “Time of Honor”? If you don't know it, maybe my short
post will be a good recommendation.
The plot
takes place in 1941 in the occupied Warsaw. The Polish armed forces learn about
the fight in England and come to Poland. They decide to support the Polish
Underground State. On the screen we observe their everyday work – we see how
they kill a German officer, carry weapon and money, teach each other “how to
fight”.
The TV
series includes some historical events, too – the deaths of German commanders,
intelligence work against occupying German forces, for example operations
investigating the German Wunderwaffe - the V-1 flying bomb. There are also some stories of people
arrested by Germans.
Besides, the
TV show focuses on a friendship between main characters – Bronek, Michal,
Wladek and Jan.
“Time of
Honor” is my favorite TV series because while you are watching each episode you
can feel “it is real”. If you are interested in the history, you should definitely
see it and learn more about the events that happened in Poland during WW2.
