Tiger was German heavy tank designed in
1941 by Henschel & Son, produced at 1942-1944. Tiger was the first Wermacht
tank with 88mm KwK cannon which can break
trough 138mm armor from 1000 metres. Tank had 54 tonnes weight, 6 metres length
(8,5 with gun), 3,5 metres width and 3 metres height. Vehicle had 5 persons crew. Tiger had from
25 to 120mm Armor and was equipped in 88 KwK cannon and two 7.92 mm MG 34
machine guns. Tiger was one of the
best second World War tank. Difficulties in supplying enough materials the
production of tank was limited. For comparison for 1347 copies of Tiger I,
Russians built 84 070 T-34 copies.
