Hello guys!
Today I want to write you about probably the most modern museum in Warsaw – the Museum of Warsaw Uprising. It is one of my most favourite museums which I have visited.
The beginning of the museum dates back to 1983 when the Museum and Archives of Warsaw Uprising was created, but it didn't have a building where it could show the exhibition. This museum which we can visit today was set up in 2004, a day before the anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. It is located in the building of the tram power station in Warsaw in 79 Grzybowska Street. It is one of buildings which were built before the war.
The museum is very interesting. On the first and second floor we move around the setting of Warsaw in 1944 . At the museum pieces of paper with information about the events which happened on each day of the uprising are hung on the walls. That is not all – you can see more than 30 000 exhibits.
If parents come to the museum with their children, they can leave them at the little insurrectionist's room, of course for free ;).
I think everyone who comes to Warsaw should visit the Museum of Warsaw Uprising. You must go and see it!
