I don't know do you have sometimes situation like that - a huge stack of books near your bed, some of them almost read, some started, some brand new. You want to read all of them, but you don't have enought time. And they lay, and lay, and lay and you feel guilty of them... That's so terrible feeling.
One of books "near my bed" which I'm reading now is "Grimm's Fairy Tales", such an awesome book. Someone could say that this is a book for children. Yes, it is. But it's "more original" version which is quite exciting to read. You know, there are things like crazy magician kidnapping and chopping into pieces young girls' bodies, evil mother cutting off the head of her son using a large chest... This mother later made a dish with her son and gave it his father. Generally weird stories completely different than the tales that the children read now.
There are also the tales the children know nowadays, but quite changed. First Cinderella's sister cut her heel to wear the glass slipper, second sister cut her toe. They were also on the wedding of Cinderella and Prince - when the sisters were walking next to couple, pigeons picked their eyes. Large different?
I still wonder how is it possible that I read this book during my childhood and I'm not a psychopath or something now.
