French cuisine

During my stay in France I had a chance to taste many dishes from their kitchen. They have a specific taste very different from the Polish. At the beginning Frane is the wine country, and the Aquitaine in particular. The vine is order to everything! At the start of the food is toast. Then they eat an appetizer. This is the leaf of lettuce usually with vinaigrette and cheese. Thay have a lot of kinds of cheese. The most popular are: Chèvre (goat cheese), Ementaler, Camembert, Bleu and Brie. Some have a very strong smell and taste. They may be also artichokes or asparagus. They have a lot of seafood. Typically this are: crabs, crawfish, fish, shrimp, clams, oysters, squid and octopus. I had chance to eat oysters. I say that, they taste worse than they look ;). They eat for dessert cream brûlée, tiramisu or panna cotta. But more often they go to a restaurant than the Poles.
